Data centers are critical to every business operation and are complex facilities. Designing a reliable data center requires understanding of equipment arrangement, present and future heat densities, temperature and humidity requirements, and information technology products. Redundancy is a key element in these facilities, because downtime is extremely costly and damaging.

Project: Primary Data Center
Owner: Bronson Healthcare Group
Description:
3,500 sq. ft. Class 1 primary data center. This data center was the primary center for the healthcare system and included application servers and storage devices for all mission critical and sub-critical applications including health information, electronic medical records, PACS, and financial. The raised floor type facility utilized a hot aisle-cold aisle arrangement per ASHRAE and NEBS thermal guidelines and integrated 48 standard server racks. Temperature, airflow, and humidity are supplied, monitored, and tested via strategic measurement points. The data center features a 300KVA redundant UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system with paralleled redundant power generators for servers, lighting, and cooling units.

 


Project: Disaster Recovery Data Center
Owner: Bronson Healthcare Group
Description:
2,500 sq. ft. Class 1 disaster recovery data center. This data center is a disaster recovery data center which serves as a backup in case of catastrophic failure of the primary. It includes backup systems for mission critical applications. The raised floor type facility utilized a hot aisle-cold aisle arrangement per ASHRAE and NEBS thermal guidelines. Temperature, airflow, and humidity are supplied, monitored, and tested via strategic measurement points. The data center features redundant UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems and a power generator for servers, lighting, and cooling units.
